RCGroups June Place of the Month

Every month we like to feature a group from our Places page. There are literally thousands of Places listed, pointing out sites like flying fields, hobby shops, race tracks and boat ponds all over the world. The RC Map is a great way to find a new place near you and meet some new friends.

This month's featured Place is Tirediron Aviation located in Church Hill, Tennessee. This is a private flying field, but is open to any AMA members who want to fly. They have a nice grass runway and a huge shop/Pilot's Lounge next to the field. If you are in the area this 4th of July, they are hosting a Fly-In and campout. Be sure to stop by and fly with these guys.

I fly here often. It is always a good time and George is a wonderful friend and host. His shop is like a mini model plane museum.

I got to spend time at TIA with George yesterday. It was a bit windy so didn't get in much flying but still had a great time hanging out and playing in the shop.

For me it'd be the other way around. I have an obsession with B-25s.

I reeeeally hope Fliteline does a B-25 (maybe even an early B-25) with the scale fidelity of the LX but in 1600mm or so.
