Good thing about a loud prop is you get to hear them wind up and get on deck. You can really hear it on Labrother's vids with his X-Plus being so light that it accelerates fast. It's music to my ear.

I'm thinking about increasing the ramp spool up time in ALL modes on my radio to avoid stalled/cavitating prop noise. My launch mode has a generous delay so no noise. My speed mode has almost no delay so if I get slow and hit the power I get the bark obviously.. My thermal mode has a moderate delay but I think I'll increase it.. I should probably buy the 18x18 three blade GM prop which I originally wanted to do when I bought my virage as everyone says that prop is almost silent

Woah! Dug out my old motor mount out of the drawer and started cleaning it up for another plane with a 38mm nose.....This goes to show how well Pete's mounts work regardless of how well you mess up the installation process.... (Linked below) This goes to show that even half of your JB-Weld holding does a good job of keeping 6kw at bay.
Just think what a full surface weld could accomplish. Looks like vibrating or taping the mount and swinging the fuse around like a baseball bat using centrifugal force to fill the voids would go a long way to making a full surface weld. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=104 |
