Grant -

Now that I think about it, I realized I miss-typed. I'm running an 11-7, not 8. Speed is good for pattern work and it still hovers just fine. I had previously tried a GWS 12-6 and was not happy with the top end.

Ron,
She's a real beauty! Good luck with the maiden! Just don't do (on the maiden)what Jon did in that video of his - tail touches and stuff! What a guy! Great flying, Jon (as usual)!

Ron,
She looks great, Regarding the motor, I am going to be using my trusty 2500 in a Cobri box and with the roughly 6.6:1 and a 12X6 it pulls like 13.5 amps WOT. I have used this set up in my Funplanes Yak all summer with 3S E-tech 1200HP's with no isuues. I get 17 mins on a charge.

Cheers,
Jim

Pete,

I guess the 11x7 is an "E" type prop. I bet that thing boogies! My 10x5 E APC is fast with my Axi.

One thing I've noticed with the Stella is the rudder is really effective. Comparing it to my Tantrum, it doesn't have a counter-balance, appears to be smaller but is much more effective. I'm not sure why, I'll leave that to the designer, but I like it in the 3d stuff.

Hey Gents!
I have an AXI 2808.24 that I would love to put in this bird, for insane power of course... Which servos should I be using? I have a bunch of HS55s lying around, will they do? Also, Are there any concerns with putting the 2808 in it, I mean, considering that I will be reinforcing the front end?

Anyone have bad experiences with this setup?

Thanks

I'm actually wishing for the Mojo to materialize - the Groove-sized version of Stella!

If the Stella were of equal size to the Groove what would the biggest differences be?

Is that what the Mojo is going to be? I will have to save my pennies then.

Probably - if it ever materializes. I'm sure Bill has a lot of other projects in mind... (I'm not gonna say it, but the Ul... must surely be one of them)

OUCH!
But seriously. Is the main difference in design between the two the wing size and shape or am I missing the subtleties?
