!Horizon Fun!

I loaded up my truck and headed to Monticello, IL for a day at Eli Field. I spent the previous day with brand managers and designers from Horizon flying all of their latest designs. Did you know it's windy in Illinois? That didn't stop the Horizon team. After a full day of flight tests we got ready for the following day where the public would join us.

My hotel was down the street from the Horizon RC Fest field and when I walked out to my truck there was a constant stream of cars and trucks headed to the big event. The Horizon team really did a fantastic job of getting the field show ready. There were pilots on hand from Horizon to teach people how to fly, there was an FPV drone race course, there was an off-road RC car track and there was food and drinks. The fire dept. and radio station were even on hand! I was really impressed by how well the whole thing was run and put together.

Throughout the day and evening were demo flights featuring jets, warbirds and other Horizon planes. I was excited to see Jase Dussia and his whole family there. Jase was invited as a demo pilot. He flew during the day and wowed the crowed with his night time flight.

The wind was as high as the excitement but no one let it slow them down! A good time was had by all and it was really well attended!
