RSSI. thank you.

You can take a picture how to connect it?

I just switched on the positive, the negative and the SB, it lacks a link for RSSI, where it connects.

Got my x220s 2 weeks ago. Has newer carbon fiber top, bottom and arms. Has newer fc, pdb. Don't have lines in the fpv. I started with a micro frsky receiver which I just cut off the connector that came sticking out of the quad and soldered wires to the receiver. Would work great for 30 seconds or so then go ape sh#t, and wouldn't respond at all. Was a clone frsky receiver. I just switched, today, to a i6b, the one with dual antennas, flysky, and am flying with my firmware modded flysky i6 (now has 16 channels and timers) and everything works perfect. I couldn't get ibus to work on uart6, so I set my modded transmitter to sbus and sbus in betaflight, works great. The led lights in back were mounted upside down, and I reversed it. I don't have any issues with throttle above 50%. I did flash betaflight 3.20rc5 and enabled airmode. Flies great, I'm running charsoon (lol, love the name) 1500mah 4s 50c battery and a vok 2200mah 4s 35c battery. I'm running a gopro 4 session too. The 2200mah barely fits with the gopro mounted. Everything is kinda squished on top. I think the issues of the early models have been fixed, that's why I waited to purchase this. I always flash the latest betaflight on all my quads. I do a cli dump when I get them, flash to the latest release, then use cli and copy paste all the settings back in, then save.

i started having problem with 1 motor randomly not spinning with my x220s. I read on earlier post that this problem can be fixed by upgrading to BF 3.2
However i've tried multiple times upgrading my FC to BF 3.2 and keep getting long beep and freezes during upgrade
Does anyone else having the same issue when upgrading the OMNIBUSF4SD FC ?

Hi Guys!

After having watched tons of video’s and reading hundreds of comments on YouTube and all the posts on in this thread I took the leap to do some modifications on my x220s, even though it is my first drone and I had no experience in building drones, the different components and soldering whatsoever.

I was having terrible FPV reception with a lot of noise on my x220s and I was really disappointed. It made flying even more difficult and I was not having the flight experience I expected. After having installed a low esr 1000uf 35v capacitor on the battery lead, an LC filter between the esc vbat-out and the flight controller vbat-in and a decent antenna, a VAS Duraspec, I was having perfect reception and no more noise from the battery at punch outs or active breaking.

I also installed a FlySky X6B receiver. It is so much better, no more fail saves within 100 meters. And the battery info on the transmitter with an alarm configured on low voltage is really nice. And I put rubber vibration rings under the motor screws to make the soft mount better, have the screws isolated from the LED pads and have the screws stay in place better (besides using Loctite) I also soft mounted the flight controller with rubber standoffs, removed the gyro notch filters and set the filtering to PT1 in Betaflight. I know I'm a noob but I think it now really ripped!!

Unfortunately, this new-found vision and range made me a bit too enthusiastic with trying some freestyle moves. I lost my orientation and I crashed it, big time! It broke in several pieces! I don’t know which was worse, finding the drone piece by piece or realizing afterwards that a flip of the mode switch to stability could have prevented the entire crash! Luckily after watching and reading all the content and my initial tinkering on the x220s I'm convinced I can rebuild it. As soon as I have the parts I need anyway, like a top plate, bottom plate and new ESC because a battery solder pad was ripped off by the battery

I'm also going to remove the LED lights on the arms and the then useless PDB. But I will leave the side plates on in the future, for some structural fortification (I tend to hit stuff, like trees and the ground. And when I do I do it good! LOL)

But I have a question, does anybody know which connector is used for the camera. It is not on the camera or the wires anymore, and I’m not sure which one I need. It has 3 cables but 4 pins? After some research, I think it’s an SH 4pin connector with the white cable de-pinned. Can somebody confirm this or point me in the right direction? Many

Thanks and Cheers from the Netherlands!

You are right. Its 4pin with missing white audio wire.

hello, another noob here. Can you please explain better where you solder this filter and capacitor? A photo would help a lot. Thank you

The white wire (the missing one) is not used for audio on this cam but for accessing the OSD menu of the camera. When you make an external connection with the white wire and the ground of the camera you can easily plug in a control board and change settings on the cam. My connector is visible just aft of the camera.
