I'm using an original flysky transmitter because the iRangeX is Mode2 and I prefer mode1. So, I binded my transmitter and I leaved sbus on betaflight. It works! I cannot explain why

Solo, you could try some HQProps from Menno @ Multirotorparts.nl

I'm waiting for my motor test stand, then I can tell more about the amps, RPM and thrust.

Bought this stand earlier today.

https://www.banggood.com/Racerstar-B...&rmmds=myorder

Pro about this one over a Turnigy V2 is the RPM meter, I'm looking forward to see how it works.

You want anything but the stock props tbh , well thats if you want flight time , stock work perfectly fine but kill your battery very quickly , but realistically you are pulling over 30amps at full throttle per motor so thats 120+ amps all together.

It is a racer though

You have to watch it for the "oh shite weres the power gone ? " ending lol , no damage and the battery recovered to 3.83v per cell which is annoying , i must have the LVC set too high.

test #2 (2 min 5 sec)

I think I will try the spare Fuuton props for first flights, and then the Cyclones, once these have arrived

That's more like drag race to me.
There are better preforming props that won't kill the battery under 2 min.

The racekraft props are known for this, They picked these for the looks, not to race.

I have and like the original 4S X220. The X220 was perfect out of the box, a true excellent quad at an excellent price.

The new S model is tempting but there are too many things that I don’t like. First the new frame material and narrower arms. Second the 4in1 ESC.

A few “improvements” are not that important, the VTX with 72 channels and pagoda. Props… well we all change props.

But there are things I like, the bigger motors, the better camera and OSD.

While the S is tempting I think I’ll put the 2600kV motors and 30A ESCs on my original and at some point a better CCD camera. I think cheap FC OSD boards will be out soon and maybe swap one of those in too. I think that way I’ll have a better bird all around.

I now have 3 around the same spec

Wizzard 220s..........
Xbee220 with 35A Esc's and 2208 motors @ 2600kv with Dal bullnose props
ZMR250 with 35A Esc's and 2205 motors @2600kv with Racekraft props

Hopefully if it stays sunny the 3 will get flown around the same approx course with the same battery to see what/if there are any differences. The racekraft props obviously pull more amps for more thrust than the Dals but that is what they were designed for, however you need a battery that can provide the amps the props consume and there are very few quality ones that can provide that amount of power.

I use 4 inch Tarot "racekraft" style props on my 180 with 4s Bolt V2's , that is a bloody missile atm, soo fast

2208 2600KV!! That sounds like a battery killer for sure....

If it's all FlySky might as well bind them all up the the X transmitter

I'm just saying that the iRange (FlySky) i6X is the better TX with more stick resolution sooo might as well bind them all to the new one and only have to carry 1 around

Nab a RunCam Swift 2 like I did.. there's your on screen OSD with battery monitoring I upgraded the VTX to a 400mw with filter for 15 bucks.

Toss on some RacerStar 30A ESC.. some 2206 motors, and some aggressive props and boom.. your x220 will be hot to trot.

I have the Original running OneShot42 at 4k/4k and it feels great. I upgraded the top plate to 2mm too. Far more ridgid with the side plates off.

All up weight, including battery and action cam.. 602 grams.

I bought RacerStar 30A ESCs a while back and RacerStar2205 2600 motors.

I'm going to get one of these and keep the original VTX.

https://www.banggood.com/Eachine-C80...tml?rmmds=cart

I'm thinking this FC. I do like the full OSD with artificial horizon. Know anything about it?

https://www.banggood.com/BF3_1_5-Omn...l?rmmds=search

All this won't be until later unless I have a crash...

Here's mine running 3S and Fuuton F200 props:

Eachine Wizard X220S - Stock PIDs, 3S LiPo, F200 Props (2 min 40 sec)

I was expecting it to be vastly underpowered with the lower pitch blades and 3S LiPo, but it's still quite zippy. You do feel the extra weight, the F3 Wizard feels more nimble, but it's still no slug.
