Great work Tom!!! One of these days I'll have to work up the courage to build one your kits.
What would the ideal wind range be for the Raptor?

Thanks you guys!

A big thanks goes to TFLG as the brains and designer of this jet style sloper.

He gave me the plans to this never been built jet sloper and I started sanding

I will eventually build a very lite one and see how it does at the 60' slope at Long Beach Bluff Park but for now I like to feel the wind at Pt Fermin at 17mph and up at its 60oz weight.

However 17mph at Fermin is probably quite different than 17mph anywhere else. Pt Fermin makes for compression lift.

There is a lot of latitude depending on how you build this kit. ply wings vs balsa skins, solartex covering vs fiberglassed ect...

Depends on the site.

I look to see who is building for the performance they want out of the slope and I follow their lead in choice of materials and flying weight goal.

Cheers!
