Another DLG innovation

After a decade of intense work, we have prototyped a new type of material that can be folded up and rolled, but once an electric current passes through it will regain extreme stiffness. A working prototype has been made for Batman a few years ago in partnership with Wayne industries. We are happy with the proof of concept and expect production on the new DLG utilising this groundbreaking technology in about 9 weeks. Models will no longer be molded, rather they can be sewn together, so we expect production rate to be about 20,000 / month in the beginning.

Hmm. Your a little late for April Fools Day..
Will this mean that DLG's can be rolled up and stored in a pocket?
How much current is necessary for stiffness? Can you post pictures of this proof of concept?

Edit: Get this guy to sell it, and you will replace FPV quads as the greatest current fad in RC.

I'd rather to have this material in my condon than DLG!

let me unfold this ultra-light DLG after I get it out of my pocket.. it's beautiful.. what's that you ask? why is the nose so big? well.. we need to put a 6s 5000 pack in it to generate enough current to ensure proper stiffness, on the plus side your throwing arm is going to get a great workout.

I would assume flight is controlled with wing warping by fluctuating the current to different areas of the wing. Effectively making one area stiffer than another
