If I can get one prior to June 3rd, I'll show real world wind from Kauai!

But if I cannot some how purchase and receive one prior to that, then I'm outta luck until a New Zealand trip in Sept.

We include SDK with the Spark. Developers have the option.

I know it has a separate controller. The question one will the Mavic controller work. It would be nice if it did. One less piece of hardware to deal with and keep charged. As you know you can order the Spark with no controller.

Also seems really odd to pitch the product as a 'selfie' type device and miss the 250g weight threshold. The way it's looking I wouldn't be surprised to see the FAA limit ALL flights over structures and people <500ft for UAVs >250g. This was DJI opportunity to corner that market.

Sure you can say the Yuunec, etc. don't even have what the Spark is, but hey, it's all about customer perception and expectations and I for one had $500+ ready to commit today and it's staying in my pocket. I'm confident I'm not the only one.

Guess I'll wait the 6-12mo for the Mavic Pro2

my 0.20c

What FAA 250g rule.
thats no longer an issue

No more need to register drones for recreational use.

Good. I am sure they will. Just wanted to make sure things like waypoints and orbit were not allowed.

2 axis PLUS DJI's new "UltraSmooth" EIS so it should be good.

I suppose it's a 4K sensor using a 1080p stabilized output.

This hybrid camera alone kills things like the Dobby.

Yes, I know is not P4P quality. More worried about the 2 axis "only" gimbal.....are we back to gopro + Phantom 1 H3-2d 2 axis gimbal (Which I still have, incidentally....)?
