The RC hobby doesnt exist in a vacuum. I'm no great fan of Facebook either, i think traditional forums are much better for specialist discussion groups, but like it or not social media platforms like Facebook is where a lot of people like to spend their time. If Facebook fades and something new comes along i guess the RC hobby discussions will move onto that new platform..

the problem is that a FB group is moderated by a single person, sometimes it's a paid job,
if you don't write what others (fanboys) want to read you quickly get kicked out forever.
it's hard to please everybody and sometimes you get treated as a troll or so.

Sorry to see Runryder go. As they say, marriage is a three ring circus : the engagement ring, the wedding ring, and the suffering...
If they told most guys when they were 10 that someday they'd grow up and still have a girl telling them what to do and what they can spend their money on like their mommy does, they'd never believe you..
Yeah, selling stuff on RR was a pain. Mostly losers who lived in their mommy's basement flaking out on paying or trying to get stuff for free. Turned me off to selling on forums.

Not trying to offend, but a -2 trader rating probably does not help.

When I run into scammers on Ebay I eat the deal, just so I can keep my perfect rating.

Sad, but true. It's almost like I'm encouraging them.
Since it happens about one out of 50 transactions (probably far less, I would have to do math ) it seems like the logical thing to do, as long
as it is not a big ticket item. In that case you can get the authorities involved.

My opinion is skewed anyway, since I once sold a high end Cisco POE switch on Ebay and forgot to install the light pipes.

It was the biggest deal I had done on Ebay and still sends shivers up my spine.
The buyer returned it, let me fix my idiotic mistake, and gave me good feedback... even after all of the hassle.

LOL couldn't be him! I never had issues selling on Runryder or any other website for that matter. Much of it had to do with an accurate honest description and high quality stuff.
