Can't wait to see some flying footage of this one. Was looking at the Commander but think I'll hold off, we really have some excellent choices these days.

IMO, you made a good choice,
I know 2 guys at our club field that have the Commander.
I should say one guy now (the other one went in hard from a failed elevator servo)
I like the looks of both, but the Ryan is a scale of a real plane (I like that)
I flew the Commander & for me it was OK, but I'm glad I changed my mind about buying one (really glad, after seeing this Ryan)

The accessories needed list shows the servos recommended.

WOW
I won't be spending 120.00 on servos for this plane.

Also, further down on that list, they show Hitec HS-81's.

Looks like the only concern will be the aileron servos (thin wing, thin servo)

The hS-81/82MG are only 1 mm thicker/longer than the recommended futaba servo. I'm betting those will work fine. We may have more flexibility on the fuselage servos.

It will be nice if the HS-82 MG's will work (I have 3 of those)

I ordered all the parts needed. Now I need to order the plane.

I opted to use the HS-82MG servos.

I'm not a fan of the 81s. They strip out too easily. I've had 4 that got tossed due to that. 82MGs on the other hand are a great servo per my experience.

My cart has the .32 motor and Talon 90 ESC. I"ll wait on the servos till I see the measurements if they list them.

Dimensions: 1.2 x 0.4 x 1.1" (30 x 11 x 29mm)

This is what is listed as the servo dimension for the Ryan.

Understood, but quality costs. try putting a heli together these days (one of my main interests). $600 for 4 servos

Got your point, but I'm pretty sure those 600.00 servos were used on a Heli that costs far more than 140.00.
I do agree with using quality parts, but I can get a good quality servo for this plane, that doesn't cost 30.00 each.
I just have a problem justifying spending 120.00 on servos for an Airframe that costs 140.00

With that said, if the Hitec HS-82MG servos will fit, I will use those.
