Blazing Eagle,

If you can post here a complete description including the time frame of the show, then I can get it off to my NG and someone who specializes in USAF Black Projects.

Although I never made entry #8878 on time, here is a pic of the IA-35 Haunquero:

Is no one into Black Aircraft/Blackcraft/Shadowcraft/SAPs?

I have entries #8874, 8875, (8879), 8888, 8889, and 8893 still active. #8879 is an exception.

Blazing Eagle.

The only other early '90s concept from Lockheed that I could locate online that has engines up top and single tailfin:

Dear BlondeValkyrie:
The complete description is this - In January 1990 the USAF was showing on tv a 60-sec public service ad for recruitment purposes. I found out through Air Force sources that the title of the video was "Blackbird" It was produced by an ad agency in or near Dallas Fort Worth Texas. I only view the video only a few times in early 1990. But they - the ad agency - sent to me two color stills from the video. But, foolishly, I sent those two images via snail-mail to David Baker PhD. over in the UK for possible publishing - never heard from that guy again - and he has never returned my images. I should have made copies of them - one of them was a print of a CFD test completed on that particular shape, the other image was as I have described to you previously. See if your source can locate the video. Maybe some stills can be grabbed from it. Blazing Eagle

Blazing Eagle,

I have posted your request on my NG to the attention of Scott Lowther of APR (Aerospace Projects Review) who specializes in American "paper" designs from WW2-future.

I specialize in German/Third Reich technology and have a broad knowledge of a/c from ancient to future as well... but descriminate on postwar paper.

Both of you got the Huanquero correct.

I didnt use the wreck photos as they had the name on them ! :-)

I though it was more sporting to use the 3-view !

It looks kinda like a Beech 18 with an uglier fuse !
