Question

Turnigy K-Force 120A HV ESC - what is this thing attached to the ESC?

I bought this ESC used, everything is working fine but I really didn't like this black pack attached to the ESC, does anybody know what it is?
The ESC is opto so it can't be a BEC. I don't believe it is an anti-spark feature either.

Looks like a capacitor pack. If that's the case, it allows using longer battery wires without damaging the ESC.
