@mike50 - that is why it took me far more time to wade through the MSDS info since the formulations change a lot more than I thought. Also, the specs are different for every type of media it is sold in such as bulk, cylinders, aersol cans.

@dusty - you can see that I live in Ca, net a lot more on the plus side of the column, including the fact we have to constantly keep pulling everyone else's heads out of their asses to helo them live longer, healthier and protect the earth for their progeny who can grow up looking like you rather than some kind of mutation from Mars. 8-;

Oh - and you might also find the original formula known as "classic" - I saw that reference in the docs. It's freely available east of the Ca border.

As luck would have it, I have two relatives that work for 3M in St. Paul. 3M has a "company store" in St. Paul where they sell various 3M products really cheap to employees. Sometimes the store has overstocks, and a few weeks ago they were selling the 16.5 oz (large) cans of 3M 77 "classic" for $1.50. He got me ten large cans...I am set for life.

I have no friends
I picked up a can of the Duro product and tried it, couldn't resist for $4.00 a can.

It goes on evenly and in a nice thin layer but isn't very tacky at all. I actually had to let it dry overnight to get it to tack up enough.

I wouldn't get it again, or use it to be honest, just not enough tack.
