I received a pm from a user who tried my key and had no success. The key passed the first test, he was prompted to download the firmware version and then there was an rfid check which was unsuccessful.
So it is final, the keys are not the same and there is a second pass check of the rfid (case 2 as I described earlier). I really feel ashamed for blaming Graupner about this. I got really angry when 5 different people told me that their keys where the same with mine. I shouldnt rely on this and I should check it thorougher before I attack Graupner in such a way. I am really sorry... :-( (but I still believe the upgrade should be free...) |

Mr. Theofanis Mavrommatis,
While some may admire your technical skills, we at Graupner do find your rather narcissistic behavior far from amusing. First, you purchase a license upgrade key which you successfully installed on your radio which was followed by a PayPal dispute to reclaim your $49.90 with the excuse that the purchase was not as described. Your PayPal claim was all based on assumptions and lies which you later figured were wrong. Claiming your money, the way you tried makes you nothing but a thief. Second, you post a rather insulting claim where you take aim at our company and engineers and post false information effectively deceiving Graupner customers with unfounded and irrelevant information. Your posting sadly resulted in many persons trying the key we sold exclusively to you to obtain a free upgrade. Some even called our help desk claiming that the key they received (yours) is not working wasting valuable time of our service department. Mr. Mavrommatis, you have been deceiving people and inciting others to become thieves like you which makes you not only a thief but also a low life Internet crook. Shame on you. Third, your efforts trying to hack our radios and publicly posting your findings are illegal and punishable by international law. Since we have your full details we will file a claim at our local FBI office who will decide how and if to proceed in your matter. Last but not least. In all your communications you claimed how angry and mad you were for paying $49.90 and also threatening us with posting your findings on RC Groups and GH Lounge. Nobody forced you to purchase this software and any action you took was at your own free will. You live in a region where anger and madness has caused the demise of hundreds of thousands of people and you get mad for paying 50 bucks? We would appreciate if you take your fake assumptions and opinions elsewhere and not post in the Graupner forum. I have read your idiotic claims also on GH Lounge and like here you made yourself look like a disturbed fool. We have refunded your purchase as we do not wish having any business dealings with you. Maybe you can use that little extra towards anger management therapy. Graupner USA |

Upgrade MZ-24 Pro Issues (and more). Can we trust Graupner anymore?(Ans: Yes, we can)
Well said!
I am disappointed that RCG management took no action on the report I submitted when the key was first posted. I would advise that others report his behavior as your conscience dictates. |

Well, I never hide behind an anonymous account. At GH_lounge where I wrote the same story, my full name is known.
I have issued a paypal dispute because I thought that Graupner was stealing me. I ended the paypal dispute, and PMed you waiting for an explanation. I wanted an official answer to my accusations. You didnt answer. Well, normally silence is a sign of guilt. I decoded this that way and then I published MY code. No one came out to say that this code is different, Graupner didnt answer. I even asked personally Agustaoexfh in public if his code is the same with mine. No answer. Well, it proved that I was wrong. It could end earlier. Actually, it could never been happened if Graupner chose a password schema not so strange and misleading. Of course it was my fault. I am the only one to blame and I regret it. You refunded the money for the upgrade. I dont want a refund though. I already sent you the refund back. I've paid for a service, I've got the service, and it ends there. |

I just updated the mz-24 pro firmware to v2.025 and now have no audio. I downloaded the voice files and hear nothing. Not even when the TX starts up.
Late update. I saw in another post about this and it said after the update, go to, "systems/etc." and bump up the volume in the "voice volume." |

I'd be willing to bet a week's wages that you won't get nearly as good of support with Futaba as you will with Graupner, especially in the US. Mannie is very approachable, especially for being the head honcho of Graupner USA. How many CEOs do you know that answer questions in online forums?

I have just discovered a new issue with my 24 pro. After the update to v.025, I programed a full house sail plane. For some odd reason, ch. 2 (left aileron) does not respond in the servo monitor screen. At first I thought it was the receiver, so replaced it and then realized the problem is in the TX. I even plugged the ch. 2 servo into another channel to check for response and it does. I checked the other models I have programed into my Pro in their respective servo monitor screens and ch. 2 responds in all of them.

Happy Customer
I'm happy with my MZ-24 Pro upgrade. Solid radio. Great features. Reasonable price. GREAT customer service. (Kudos to Manny!).
Yes, I sometimes struggle with upgrades. It's just the nature of computer radios these days. I've never lost an airplane due to a radio issue. NEVER with Graupner. |
