Graupner vs Jeti vs JR

I just had a lockout on my spektrum dx9 on a a race quad and failed range checks with other planes. I want to switch but cant make up my mind. The graupner really impresses me. And also spektrums dx9 has dual diversity and others don't(aka graupner, JR)? Any help please. Thanks in advance!

There's a cheaper and easier solution - have your DX9 serviced.

But this is the second time I've had this issue and I fly large jets and don't want to lose one in this issue.

Your radio still needs to be serviced, if you can't pass a range check and have installed the remote receivers per the video.

But then again, The check failed on multiple planes.

Again, more reason to have it fixed.

That indicates a likely problem with your specific transmitter. Andy is right, why spend hundreds on a new transmitter (and have to install new receivers and check them) when a simple trip for servicing will resolve the issue.

I 100% agree with you and Andy. When I first bought the radio the module was bad. Lost 3 planes. Sent it in. 3 years later, it fails again. Sending it in is the option, but It doesn't make sense to have a module or something randomly fail every once in a while. I could have been flying a expensive jet! Even one of my friends had this issue.

Any system can have a fault develop so nothing is guaranteed with the other systems, but I understand why you would worry if the same fault has happened a second time.

Not sure what you mean by “dual diversity”, but the Jeti Tx (16 and 24 versions) have two Tx modules built in and you can add additional receivers if you feel the need. I have never felt the need myself.

You can actually have three Rx's in a Graupner system, similar to Spektrum.

But telemetry system is heavier and clunkier.

Hi.
I decidedto GIVE my DX9 black edition for free.
It's useless.
3 copters crashed because of pooooooor range.
Nothing to do.
I'm flying since 20 years so I know how to use reciever.
I used Lemon rx; Orange rx, 4649t (...) satellite and usual Spektrum reciever.
Enough is enough.
I changed antennas with 2 45cm 9db ones, and that changed nothing.
RSSI goes from 100% to 50% by walking 30 feet.
After a 100 feel walk it"s under 20%.
Whatever I do.

I can't ask for money by selling my radio.
And sendind it back to Spektrum service changes nothing.

And I think I'm not the only one.

davidmc36,

Will an European (CE marked) radio be allowed to use in Canada?
In US a radio must be FCC approved and have FCC sticker on it.
If it is similar in Canada make sure the radio meet the requirement for Your country if You plan to use it.

You need IC number, there is compliance process as well.
