Optima D RSSI info

I'm using the voltage telemetry on my optima D receiver, and it appears to work well. I have the +/- wires from the rssi port linked to the voltage telemetry pads on the receiver. I have a 2s lipo instead of a regulator, and this is an excellent way to keep track of it.

Would it be possible to wire the RSSI output back into the voltage telemetry input on the receiver, thus giving us a signal strength display instead of voltage on the radio?

Then we would also have the possibility to set alarms if the RF link gets weak? This would be super cool if it was possible, but I don't want to destroy a new receiver by creating a weird ground loop or something.

Our transmitters don't have RSSI capability, this is not possible currently.

Sorry, I think you missed the question.

Is it safe to connect rssi output to the voltage telemetry input?

That should show as 0v to 1v on the tx Bec voltage display.

Would not recommend it, you might wind up damaging something.
