I have one of these and so do others....some info for you to know is the stock motor is a little weak, its need a carbon rod in the tail to stiffen it up, it needs a carbon rod that extends to the wing tips to prevent flex, and the battery compartment is fairly small.....other than that it is a great flyer.....the elevator is very touchy so you don't need much throw, and if your into slope soaring it flies just like the alula but handles higher wind speeds.....also if you cover it with tape or laminate it will be indestructible.
there is already a topic for this plane here... https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2709802-41-EPP-LIGHTING-for-Outdoor-Flying-Similar-as-Alula-or-DIU-%21 Hope you enjoy the plane. |

Thanks for the comments, and the link, I did a lot of searching and didn't find it.
I am not a real aggressive flier. I fly a 165g foam board wing with one strip of filament tape on the bottom. Near 100 flights and no problems. I think with a bit of mod's, move servos, bit of CF on the tail. it will be good for me.

Got it at noon today, it is ready to fly. For the money it's fine. Put some CF in the tail and mover
the servos to the top. The horns were way to flexible so I uses some I had on hand, used ones. I used a 2208 1100kv from Banggood, $4, 12a esc used, 8X4 GWS HD. 9g servos, been used before, 3s 800 set on the top, on the CoG. About 105w, Weight is 261g. I can go to a 8X6 and step it up to about 140w if I need a bit more kick. |

Unfortunately Dancing Wings always provide rubbish for aileron horns and not enough stiffness designed into their wings but if you do a few mods before you fly they can be nice fliers. I have built 11 Dancing Wings planes and I have another wing new in box I haven't even started yet.
Let us know how it goes and I am sure you will put your usual video up. I won't be buying one as I am about 'winged out'. I have too many. I like the grunt at the end of your vid as you bend over to pick the wing up. Reminds me of me..... |
