Fokker DRI nitro maiden flight with crash
Good plane but very short maiden flight.
Quick repair and motor change and it will be in the air in no time. Oh yeah...

All home made design by my friend 75 years old modeler.
It was tuned perfectly on the ground but just died in the air short after take off. This happens a lot of time with 2C engines. I think that I will put glow on this baby before Re maiden. I dont want to risk anymore. Or maybe Saito 7.5ccm 4 cycle. |

Sounded like it leaned out in the air? Though, I'm only guessing after hearing it on YouTube. Last time that happened to me, I had a bad fuel tank installation. Anything that can change the fuel-air mixture in favor of air could be the culprit though - even a small nick in one of the fuel lines. It seems too early to blame the engine?
Anyway, keep having fun! That model looks a little less scale and a lot more flyable than the average DR1, so it should be great fun once you have the engine issues solved. |

You are wright Nergall. It is a brand new Magnum engine and I think that it just needs a little more love and care.
I was too excited to get the bird in the air. But the Red Baron survived to see another day and will be ready for next battle soon. Oh yeah... |
