Yes You Can Fly a Shark

Novelty planes can be a fun addition to your hangar and the HobbyKing EPP Shark kit looks to be another plane you can take to shows and get all the smiles with. It would be especially fun at the beach, you know children would go nuts chasing this plane up and down the beach while screaming "SHARK!!!!" This kit is part of H-King Glue-N-Go series which means it arrives in parts and you have to build it and install your own electronics to make it fly, but the foam is already painted so that's less work for you. It's made from EPP foam which is incredibly durable and you glue it together with super glue, epoxy, or contact adhesive. They do include the hardware you'd need like control horns, pushrods, and clevises as well as a full color instruction manual to help you with the building process.

The Shark can fly slow and the wing design with the angled tips give it plenty of dihedral that will ensure the plane is stable and easy to fly for even beginner pilots. If you have any mishaps during the flight, the EPP foam will bounce and retain its shape with little to no damage and the wing is mounted with rubber bands which protects it even more from damage during a crash. The kit costs $58 and it seems it is already very popular as it is currently on backorder at H-King.

I think they should put together a few complete packages with everything in them available with different radios (FrSky, Spektrum & budget brands)and a few other simple choices (motor upgrades, extra batteries, battery charger, etc).

Seems just a wee bit similar to the Foamtastic Models Park Shark, circa 2004

That one was a fun flyer...even better on floats.

If you mean they're both blue, I'm with ya. Other than that I see little resemblance.

Looks like it would be a good plane for a first time RC flyer - with EPP , high polyhedral wing , 3 channel RET Rudder-Elevator-Throttle .
