VRX Octane XL 1/10 Brushless RC Car
Hello,
Thanks to Tobey from Banggood i received my VRX Racing Octane XL on Monday 13/03/2017. I attach some quick pictures of the Octane XL alongside my other rc cars for size comparison ![]() ![]() ![]() You can find the car on banggood for about 220$ + 10$ shipping: http://www.banggood.com/VRX-Racing-R...?rmmds=myorder As far i can tell the "original" VRX-Racing distributor website is the one below and its in Italian : http://www.vrxracing.it/prodotto/oct...0-brushed-vrx/ The site also offers a list of the available spare parts (where you can also find small upgrades such as lights ) : http://www.vrxracing.it/prodotto/oct...d-vrx/#ricambi ![]() Car Details: Length: 500mm Width: 300mm Height: 220mm Wheel sizes: 135mm x 55mm Wheelbase: 328mm Motor : 3650 3300KV Brushless ( According to banggood motor supports both supports 2s and 3s ) ESC : 45A ( According to banggood ESC supports only 2S batteries) The car comes with everything you need to run it out of the box: * Nice FlySky FS-GT2 transmitter ( Needs 8 AA Batteries ) * 3300mah 2s 25c Lipo * Balance Charger for 2s and 3s Batteries * No assembly required When you 1st take the car out of its box you realize that its really big and dominant looking. Another thing that you notice right away is that the suspension works very well and the car doesn't bounce at all, i think the very soft "empty" tires help in that department too. According to the VRX Website the servo and receiver are waterproof but i doubt that, in reality they are more like spash-proof. Regarding the FS-GT2 transmitter what is not obvious is that the Tx works well on the computer for simulators with only a standard mini-jack cable using SmartPropoPlus and Virtual Racing Pro that you have download here: https://www.vrcworld.com/about/. What is interesting is that on SmartPropoPlus the Tx is registered as a 3ch Radio and SmartPropoPlus has never been wrong so far. Does this mean we can add and extra switch to it, possibly to turn lights on/off ? Unboxing video will follow in the next few days. |

Yes the car comes re-branded in many versions and the car is not an original idea from VRX, but since this particular car is called VRX Octane XL we can assume that its website is the vrxracing one. Thats all i meant. Also made corrections on 1st post |
