I feel embarrassed. I got hung up looking at the picture. The lens looks huge for an M8 though, doesn't it?

Must agree, that lens indeed looks huge compared to the usual Foxeer lens. I hope it will be the same on the real cam. Now we only have computer generated picture.
I'm also feel excited about this new Falkor cam!

Hello Libbyt,

I have a new Falkor Micro and installed it into my micro quad last week running a HGLRC F428 Stack and ran into what I consider to be a big issue with this camera.

I previously had a Predator Micro V3 installed in my micro quad and wanted to see if the Falkor gave a better image after seeing all of the hype about the camera and the specs looked promising.

Well within 30 sec of plugging the Falkor into the cable and powering up the quad, I had a bit of a smell out of the camera and the PCB on the back got really hot, so I quickly unplugged and checked to see if I had a polarity issue with my cable.

No, no issue, same connection for the Predator and all was OK with the Predator. Scratching my head because all of my other Foxeer and Runcam camera's do not have a hot PCB I contacted the local supplier and told him about the issue thinking I had a faulty camera. After a day of chat back and forth, I delivered the camera to the supplier and he contacted Foxeer. Both my supplier in Australia and Foxeer at the factory ran tests on the Falkor Micro for temperature and the current draw.

To my surprise your Foxeer engineers have said that this camera runs hot, up to 70 degrees C to be precise and will draw up to 260mA which floored me as I don't have another camera that runs that hot or draws that much current.

The camera I purchased is now on its way back to me from the Australian supplier with the view of Foxeer that there is nothing wrong with it.

From my point of view, you cannot use this camera on a micro as it draws too much current not even considering how hot it gets and how long it will last running at those temperatures, not to mention how hot the camera will end up when the ambient summer time temperature in Australia is 30 degrees C plus.

I feel it is only suited to go on something like a 5 inch quad where you have a larger battery. This is a shame because the Falkor Micro is a little smaller than the Predator and in some way's suited for Micros.

Hope this info helps, if others have the same experience, please add your comments below. Regard's, JosephR.
