Old broken Robbe Wetbikes...

Anyone in the San Francisco/ Bay Area has an old or broken Robbe Wetbikes they want to sell?
After two years I finally got this one running. Now I 'm looking for extra parts in case of repairs from wear and tear.

Robbe Wetbike sighting in San Francisco! (1 min 44 sec)

One guy first offered me $100 for it after he saw it zipping around the lake.
I politely declined. Then he upped it to $150 which I again declined.
His final offer was $250 it was hard to turn it down cuz after all it was it's maiden run and I was having a great time with it.
I thought about selling the unbuilt kits but I decided against it. Cuz having the extra parts is priceless because of it's rarity. Besides I already need the rider for the other bike.

Sorry for the vertical view. My daughter was recording.

Pretty slick!

I have two of those. One used (but decent) that I bought from Germany, and another (partially built) from a NIB kit. I believe this is the first time I've ever seen one run.

What motor / battery / ESC did you put in it? I am tempted to go BL, but hate to over-stress the bike.

Robbe Wetbike...

I put a brushless Aquacraft B36-56 motor, 120amp Seaking ESC and a 2200mah 3S Lipo. You're gonna have to enlarge the hole on the motor gear. Cuz the motor shaft is quite large.
Don't worry you're not gonna stress out the model. It's pretty rugged.
Just make sure you have it balanced correctly and have it floating
right at the water line. NO TILTING ON EITHER SIDES!!
What I also did was put set screws on each of the plastic gears on the prop shaft.
Other than that it's all stock.
Gotta admit i had a blast running this thing around the lake. For sure it's not your ordinary looking rc watercraft.
People kept asking where I bought it, lol!
Let me know if you're interested in selling one of the kits.
Good luck on your build!

I've considered selling them, but then I always change my mind because they are so cool. If I ever do sell them, it would only be as a package deal. All, or none. Parts is parts, ya know?

I also have a rare Robbe Sea Jet, but it is missing the "seat" piece. Rider and driveline are basically the same as the Wet Bike.
