Slo-V vs. Slow Stick?


I can't make up my mind between the Slo-V or the Slow Stick. Has anyone flowen any of these?

Suggestions, please.........

Many here are familiar with the "GWS" SLOW STICK but, the SLO-V???

Can you provide a picture and spec's on the SLO-V?

Very good deflection on those V-Tail surfaces.....okay,

For someone that does not have any TX (Radio) servos etc... this seems to be a very good starter model combo for the price!

For someone that has the TX (Radio) + servos + etc... then, you can't beat the price of the GWS SLOW STICK.

I think the Slow Stick has such a following, you can't really go wrong with it..

slowstick! If you break a part you can replace it. I dont know about the slow V. Slowstick can be heavily modded and is a blast to fly stock. And when your ready to move on to a diffrent plane you can use your gear and tranfer it to another plane. and if you wreck the slowstick its only 35 bucks for a new one. Slowstick!

if you're just looking for a toy plane, the v is fine, you wont be sorry for buying it. if you're getting into this hobby for the long haul you really should stay away from the rtf's. you'll end up spending more in the long run if you go v and then want more planes. that said, those 2 planes are both good starters and will be close in performance.

if you don't need the radio gear... buy a GWS SlowStick, and put a V-tail on it. That's how mine is. do a searsh on it... you will find what you need to convert it.

depending on your budget.

I would (and have) bought ONE remote now I can fly 6 different planes held in its memory.

I have the SS and fly it most.

If money is tight and you need to fly today then the SloV is perfect.

just start saving for new equipment for when you want your 2nd plane.

You could use the radio in the slow V for a gws Corsair(when your ready to move up), just don't use the rudder. You can defently reuse the slow V's radio gear, did you see it had a bomb drop attachement? I want to get one of thease to train my wife and for droping bombs!

The Slo V is just as good as the SloW Stick in many aspects. It has great range for RTF radio system. Use the upgrade 7 cell battery right off the bat and throw away the 6 cell pack. Install a GWS 1180 prop and it gets even better.

I have many flights on my Slo V and I really enjoy it.

It will loop within itself, will fly as slow as you could ever want and will lift a camera without much problem. Buy it as it is and fly it. Down the road you can purchase different radio gear and upgrade the Slo V with any motor or speed control.

Yes you can use the radio gear from PZ planes in other planes but you would have to have a V tail plane to use the radio gear from the Slo V. You can use the electronics from a ParkZone J3 Cub in any plane that flys aileron,elevator,throttle. So far many have installed the Park Zone gear in many of the GWS war birds.

I agree. If this is a one shot deal and you will never get another plane, then you won't see a problem with getting a plane with integrated equipment. However, you're pretty much dooming yourself to failure at RC airplanes if you go that route - how many people who learn to fly successfully never get another plane?
