Further update. Still just running the 15x7 apc prop but the motor fried in the air today. This is the second motor to fail on this airframe.

Lesson is, fly it stock only...even the prop. Anything more smokes the motor.

Has anyone tried a power 52 on this plane?

Power 60 is a better fit, just a little work to get it in there. Fried 2 motors myself, took them apart and reglued the magnets, I think they just get too hot for adhesives

Got my power 60 re installed today using a 16x10 prop. Definitely smoother and a better power system...just seems to overfly the servos a bit. Have to be careful to cut throttle in a dive or you won't be able to pull out.

Does anyone know how to program the OEM RX from scratch using the spectrum programmer? I would like to setup a 3 position switch for gyro off, as3x on and as3x+ safe if possible.

FYI...made the mistake of using the BL50 prop adapter and spinner on the POWER 60 and first time to full throttle it flew off in the air today. Chopped up the cowl and off course resulted in a dead stick landing. Trashed the nose wheel and hit hard enough that the elevator hinges broke loose.

Anyone have a recommendation for replacement hinges for the elevator?

Went back to power 60 prop nut and spinner with 15x8 which gives about 74 amps at full throttle in the air. Going to try 15x10 next...should put me about 80 amps. I tried a 16x10 that produced 108 amps just before the prop flew off.

These work great on my elevator and rudder. Standard size of course, not the mini. Spread Vaseline on the pin channel on both sides as you're epoxying them in and use a small amount of the epoxy on the outer 50% of the hinge that goes into the foam to prevent it from spreading too much and introducing friction on the hinge point.

Does anyone know the factory AS3X settings in the 636B RX from the factory?

Cant remember if it was 50*50*50 or 50-75-50

Thanks,

How can i modify my 150 to make it a taildragger?

If that was a straight tail 150 tail dragger I'd be too tempted. Not for certain, but I think one would have to order the new fuselage, tailwheel and rudder at least. Possibly the main landing gear too.

The original Carbon Cessna required serious modifications to convert to conventional gear. However, it seems to new offering is ready to be set up as you like it: regular tricycle OR taildragger either with large tires and no wheel pants or smaller tires with wheel pants.

This was a smart update Jason!

Can the parts for this be added to an older Cessna too? Wild Bill Flynn's front nose wheel has been beat up over the years and that would breathe new life into his Cessna.

Looking at the 150T today and talking with the Horizon pilot the 150T fuselage is backward compatable with the original 150. It's also about $4 cheaper
