Scorpion Systems has been dominating the RC industry with the initial introduction of their powerful motors almost a decade ago, and they have been on top of their game ever since. With the success of the motors, scorpion has been tackling the ESC world with plenty of good competition out there. They now have a new release that should place them higher in the industry for powerful ESCs.
The newest versions of the Tribunus are the 06-120A and the 14-200A ESCs. The ESCs allow you to use high voltage lipo batteries. The 02-120A ESC is rated for 6s at 26.1v, but has an amp rating up to 150A peak and 120A continuous. The 14-200A is good for 14s and up to 61v and good for up to 250A peak! Both ESCs have complete compatibility with the Vbar control and can be set up with it, as well as other telemetry transmitters in the near future. The internal BEC is rated for up to 20 amps peak, and 10 amps continuous at 8.3v, and the output voltage can be adjusted from 5.1v-8.3v on both ESCs.
Nice official video. Great flying.
The smokey opening would not be my choice to see curled around the esc. No additional info content other than great flying.
Is the esc eye candy like the video. Was that the intended message? I would rather see something of substance.
