Some more questions please:

What will happen if I set 16 PPM channels but will feed only 12 from the radio?
What is the minimal step for hopping frequencies?

I don't try but why do you want to do that? It will be better to set correct value to avoid sync problems. Btw you can set let say 12 channels in TX and 16 in RX and it should ne fine.

That's good because I want to set 12ch for TX and 13 for RX and put RSSI to 13ch.

It's a pity that APM 2 doesn't support RSSI over PPM.

Regarding freqency hopping you can set anything you want but remember that bandwidth is 250kHz an chanells should not overlap to avoid freq hopping sync problems. I need to add chn number to frame payload to make possible using overlaping freq. and keep everything in sync.

Thank you, got it.

One more feature - Led blinking frequency according to txMaxPower value to indicate current transmitting power level.

Why is it transmitting when there is no PPM-in? I believe it should not transmit anything in this case and RX should switch to FS.

Because except ppm values you can tramsmit serial data from groud to uav. 3 byes in every frame.... See documentation.

3 bytes could be used for anything... Especially for custom projects... For mavlink are useless what do you want to know about analog rssi? Analog output is present on the same pin you use for connecting button...

Did I get it right - it's PWM RCCI at M1 pin, but to convert it to Analog RSSI it's necessary to connect RC filter like that:
