Frsky X8R Antenna Replacement

I have had some difficulty replacing the stock Frsky antennas on the X8R receivers. There is some yellowish-brown cement holding the snap-on ends of the antennas. I spoke with the distributor about how to remove the cement without damaging the board. They recommended denatured alcohol. This does not seem to work. I don't want to use heat either. Unless the cement is completely removed it's difficult to snap on the long replacement antennas. I want to route the long antennas away from internal noise on my larger aircraft. Any thoughts.

Carefully scrape the cement with a hobby knife.

Xylene seems to be the best for removing the cement.
