Easily Learn Complicated RC Maneuvers

Flights sims are a great tool for learning how to fly safely and without damaging a real model, but you are still left to figure how to move the sticks all on your own. Once you have the basics down you'll want to work on more advanced moves, but you won't know how to perform those moves. What if your radio actually moved the sticks for you so you could feel it by experiencing the proper controls? That's where StickMover comes in. StickMover was designed as a tool to help new and advanced pilots quickly learn complicated stick maneuvers intuitively.

StickMover looks similar to a standard remote control unit, but it connects to your computer. With the AVIsoft program it will guide you through flight maneuvers step by step allowing you to feel the movements and where you are going wrong. You can watch the aircraft on the screen and by seeing and feeling, you should be able to learn at a rapid pace.

The team had help from pilots Nico Niewind, Eric Weber, Christoph Hammer and Robin Trumpp who recorded their stick movements and helped with the design look and feel. This means that you can learn how to properly fly these advanced maneuvers directly from the pros. There is nothing else out there like it. After trying it out, Sascha Rentel from Hacker Motors said "I used to fly a lot of simulators and this is what we really wanted."

The software has 44 helicopter skills and 33 airplane skills to learn

What a fascinating idea! Always good to add more teaching/learning aids to our quiver.

Add an option for it to be tied in as a slave for buddy boxing and mimics the instructors stick inputs when not actually in control of the model and this would be truely useful. Simulators will only take you so far.

Interesting... little more money than I'm willing to throw out on a Kickstarter though. Been burned in the past by a project which appeared as far more done then it actually was.

I have a book, Echoes of Eagles, https://www.amazon.com/Echoes-Eagles.../dp/0525947574, in which Charles Woolley tells the story of his fathers experiences as a WWI fighter pilot. This "new technology" is actually how the French taught people how to fly back then. A two seat plane was made with one set of controls linked to the other. The student would have his hands and feet on the controls, but exert no pressure. As the controls moved during flight, the student learned how to control the plane. Remember, there were no radios back then.
Interesting how new technology frequently catches up with the past.

That won't be until Nov, but I bet it gets delayed.

It's an interesting concept but not worth that cost. Tons of youtube videos of how to do maneuvers showing stick positions on screen for free.

Agree. You need to see the sticks to create a mental image of the steps needed to perform the maneuver. Feeling the sticks does nothing. You have to see them and you can do that now. Also they will have to write a really good simulator first so the model reacts according, and then their control box will have 4 servos in addition to everything else, so will be more expensive. Bad idea all over.

Not worth the cost? It's less than $300.
Can you already do all of the maneuvers they list?
Did you even watch the videos they have?

If I watch the video, will I be able to do it? It yes, I will buy it. I also have a nice bridge in NY to sell you.

Do you look at the sticks when you fly?
I don't. Feel is everything.
