New V2 Headplay SE goggles + DVR (HD Resulotion) is now on sale for 165$

Headplay SE V2 5.8G 40CH FPV Goggles Video Glasses Headset With DVR
http://www.banggood.com/Headplay-SE-V2-5_8G-40CH-FPV-Goggles-Video-Glasses-Headset-With-DVR-p-1126187.html

Key Features
- Low Latency <15ms
- Built-in DVR
- New Lens better suited for FPV Racing
- Powered directly from 2S - 4S LIPO Battery

I wonder if the DVR Can record the HD resolution, for example from a prosight system,
my Dominator V3 can't record HD for reference.

(From Product Page)
The new HeadPlay HD FPV Headset is packed full of features that every FPV enthusiast will enjoy. This headset was designed from the ground up with the FPV pilot in mind, with quality, performance and comfort at the forefront. The headset gently rests on the forehead/cheeks spreading the weight out evenly, which compared to many video goggles which rest on the bridge of the nose instead. Three straps securely hold the HeadPlay HD in place while at the same time blocking light coming in from the outside. The end result is a cinematic experience that is sure to impress. This headset is a great choice for FPV pilots that struggle to find a traditional FPV goggle that meets their Interpupillary distance (IPD). Instead of each eye having to look through separate optics, the new HeadPlay HD presents the pilot with one large screen. We've tested the HeadPlay HD with eye glasses and were able to make it work, even though the HeadPlay HD does not officially support wearing eye glasses at the same time.

Got my set in the mail, so far happy coming from the Quanum v2's. Waiting on the DVR to be available, and opted out of the HPRO lenses. Subscribed to the thread.

I have the Headplay SE, the DVR is an add-on. It actually just showed up yesterday, it's the HMDVR, and the Headplay SE has a special wiring harness that it plugs into.

The DVR is available now in limited quantities on http://www.headplay.com/order-headplay/

They will sell out quickly. We will have more DVRs within 2-3 weeks. You can use a DVR which you buy elsewhere, but be sure that you get the version with the correct video decoder.
More info: https://www.rc-cam.com/forum/index.p...ck-screen-fix/

The DVR we sell at Headplay.com is with the correct decoder and works really well.

I recently got mine from Rangevideo store:
http://www.rangevideo.com/headplay-/...receiver-.html

My first impression is the build quality, the button the straps everything looks and feels great.
I did a few test for video quality, and it feels very immersive, and the picture details and quality are off the charts.

Can't wait to test it on the track and freestyle sessions.

I will also test the HD input with my Prosight 720P HD Video system.

stay tuned....

Does anyone know how to get a hold of the HeadPlay people? They promised a replacement for my defective screen 3 months ago and have since vanished.

mmm, I checked the product is still available at banggood, not discontinued but on sale for 165$
These googles are high quality product, but it seems the FPV market move so fast and the size and price of the headplay
maybe less attractive now.

Especially when eachine has their Fatshark killer for 99$, recently raised the price to 150$

Is the video receiver in this new SE headset the same one found in the HD v2 headset? Both are 40 channel receivers and look the same.

The SE info says the receiver is improved but I think they are comparing it to the old 38 channel that came with the original Headplay HD
