BEWARE of the packaging - fragile parts very much at risk!
Just got mine from FedEx.... would have been happy, but....
Most of us probably remember the old jokes about far-eastern sourced electronics packaging during the 70's and how it was impossible for the items to be repacked, well, this sprung to mind with my experience with this boat. I'm no fumble fingers but BEWARE of the packaging on this particular boat as shipped. The foam cushioning is so tight in the box that it hardly could be moved. When it did....The M60 didn't survive vessel egress. An attempt to reinsert the boat into the box and packaging snapped off the stern mounted Ma Deuce. Both items, by the way, seem to be on fairly fragile mounts for the projected use. Mounts like this might be OK for a "mantle sitter," but not an active RCB in the wilds. This really disappoints, especially at this price point. |

...I'm definitely getting one of these. For the price and what you get (a duel jet boat) its kinda hard to resist. However, it will take a bit of customizing to get rid of that monochrome "run it through the spray booth" green color to give it some contrast as well as making some reverse thrusters for it. Shouldn't but be "too difficult"- but your right. This could have come out of the box just a tad differently with some simple changes that would have made a good looking "Mk II PBR knockoff" a great "Alpha Patrol".

The crew on temporary stations to see how they look. Wanted the cover to look more like canvas so I painted it then used a paper towel to dab the paint as it tacked up. Left some towel fibers in paint when it was dry I rubbed the loose stuff off. It looks and feels like real canvas cloth.
