FlightLineRC P-38 Maiden Flight

(Original date of post: Apr 13, 2016)

Nice day for flying here in Florida, I managed to get 4 flights in on the P-38. Having flown the J-Power V1 P-38 I had an idea of how docile it would fly, such an easy going docile flyer. It certainly feels to have a lot of weight to it for its size, but you don't really notice that all in the air. One thing I was impressed by, was even coming in a little hot a couple of times, she planted herself on the runway pretty quick, not bouncing around like crazy. The only trouble I have is one bad rudder servo, just doesn't seem to know its center, but it didn't prevent me from flying. I will just have to remember to replace it soon. Very nice work FlightLineRC and MotionRC. I flew completely stock with Admiral 4S 3000 batteries positioned as shown below. The CG was roughly 70mm back. I found her to fly very stable and had no issues getting a good flare on landing using low rates as per manual.
