Introduction F5J Spoiler location/size

Anyone have info on location and size of spoilers on an Introduction F5J, assuming that flaps would also exist?

Yes, I had plans that I think...showed spoiler location when I built my Intro (I only put in flaps) but those plans... well, it's a long story and not good. Regardless, if you have just a hint please let me know. Or am I just imagining that spoilers are even noted in the plan sheet? I would either like to retrofit spoilers or just build another Intro with flaps and spoilers as the kit is sooooo nice, build wise and flight wise.

thank you !

Kurt,
I just took a look at the Intro plans and no mention of spoilers. I am afraid you are on your own for the conversion.

Cheers,
Jim

Here is the wing of a Launch Models 2m Fox that may help with sizing.

Looks about the span of 4-5 ribs, inside to inside, just behind the main spar (on the Intro) Thanks! !

The one other note I'd make is to be sure to get the spoilers outboard of the horizontal stab, or you can end up fighting stab blanking issues when deploying.

The spoilers on the Fox were much more effective than the standard crow with flaps and ailerons. Added advantage being flaps are not dragged on the ground in difficult slope landings.

Been trying to get RCRCM to build me a wing like this for testing, no luck so far, surprising how narrow the thinking can get when everyone follows the accepted design configurations.
