I count 4 red caps. I do see some red clothing, but that is a common fashion color for women. It was very popular this year at the Golden Globes.

This wan't an unfortunate choice of words. This is the Trump administration's strategy. Every word uttered by these people will have to be fact-checked.

Do you believe this need just began with Trump?

We don't even agree on what facts are, what comprises them, how they are determined. Why do you think 'fact checking' will be anything other than feeding your own side what it already 'knows'?

Have we reached a point where facts as we know them can now be called lies simply because someone or some entity doesn't agree with them? If that is the case than this country and society are in real trouble.

We are in fact in very, very real trouble. If a leftist 'knows' a fact, I know it cannot be trusted in any way, shape or form unless I am able to personally examine it in detail.

Life could continue when the environment allowed for people to work using their own facts in a system of widespread voluntary interaction and trade where all the versions of facts could be acted out, given my usual caveats. As this ends and choices, values, and trades are immobilized into concrete by the State and it's mandates, all the flexibility that the former interactions allowed, vanishes...and the strife over the beliefs of the entity holding the gun become more and more important.

I don't believe this would have even been a news issue if it were not the administration touting the numbers in the crowd.

Sad thing is, many now believe any news they read or watch is just fake so they take what the administration says for bond.

Nope. Because I know such a person didn't use proper method either. I didn't say leftists were the only guilty parties, they exist sporadically elsewhere sure.

I agree. The media brought this on itself with the rabid, post factual attacks on Trump by any means necessary.

And the Dem email leaks proved exactly how pervasive it became, and the lack of Dem concern or action over it proved how normalized it has become.

There is no longer any reason to trust anything the mainstream media says. They are outed as openly political weapons now.
