Another Super Combo is about to be released from Align.

Align has been focusing on proprietary high end combo packages for their helicopters lately and every few months they push out another release. The T-REX line of helicopters is probably one of the most influential lines of helicopters ever produced. If you have been in the hobby for many years, you will know how important the technology this once vacuum cleaner manufacturer brought to the industry.

The new Align T-REX 500X Dominator Super Combo is the perfect sized "take anywhere" helicopter. It includes the same nice upgrades as previous releases along with the Micro Beast Plus FBL system, and we all know this little gem works just fine for the majority of pilots out there. The DS servos are fast and powerful, and the 520MX 1600KV motor give plenty of power for 3D enthusiasts. Align produces one of the best "combo" packages you can get.

For more information on the new combo, click here.

Combo includes:

  • 520MX 1600KV Motor
  • DS530M/DS535M HV Brushless Servos
  • 1.6MM 3K Carbon Fiber Main Frame
  • RCE-BL80X Brushless ESC
  • MicroBeast Plus FBL system

It's time they called hel;is by the maximum blade length they can run - so this is a 430....

Good to see the belt drive tail, can't wait to see the 600 and 700 versions.

Funny how we've gone full circle with stacked frames and belt tails coming back into style again. \

Actually if it were by blade size this would be a 470.. It spins 470mm blades. Which would be a bit of a problem for Align because they already have a Trex 470 (with 380mm blades!)

But the stacked frames are on the 700, and make sense with the width of large battery packs. With single frames you end up with really wide servo mounts, boom block etc.

I'd like to see Align do an all belt heli, that would be interesting.

I claim this as my next helicopter After I master my 450L Dominator.

It'll be that the battery case is the same size as old 500L?
Or I can put bigger batteries?

The battery tray and lower frame seems to be identical to the 500L, so I'd expect it will take the same size batteries.
