" PSSF "Oly" Dates (not yet club approved)
Here's the dates we're putting in front of our club for approval.
June 24
July 15
August 26
I also made a public Google calendar with the SAAS and PSSF dates. I'll add PDX when they publish their dates. I put Powaw in there too, for giggles. Here's a link:

Just click the "add to calendar" button (bottom right) to add this calendar to your Google calendar.""

Also thought it'd be good to copy this over here also even though it's still not "official".

Page loads, but they still have ads / links to (which now seems to point to a Japanese skin care advertisement???) . That was a blast from the past .

It was a nice day to fly. Had a few 3-minute flights without needing to work very hard to find lift. Ground was still frozen at 60A. The pools of water on the field were all iced over.

How many Juniors typically come to SASS contests? If so, do they fly?

Zero - two flyers. Other people bring kids along as spectators

We'd love to have more Jr's fly and anyone is welcome to come watch.

If you have a junior that is really interested and can fly a bit, there might be a free plane available.

Maybe some of the SASS folks would have some planes as well. I'm in PSSF.

I don't have a junior, I am the junior. I don't think I will need a loaner either, I already have a 300 gram Taboo GT, and Snipe SN (235 gram). I have had no "formal" thermal training, so I would not be competitive in the contests. I would finally be the best junior..and the worst..and the only!

PM me if you're interested in getting some help. A few of us fly weekends all winter and if you are serious about learning we'd be glad to help.
