Hitec X1 mini connect error check main port

hi all..

brand new (2 days) X1 mini charger, brand new batteries (2s-4s) all come up with "connect error check main port" after a few seconds when i try to charge them.

my other charger is fine, the batteries are either xt60 or deans so it's not the little banana adapter cable.

Any ideas what to check because the manual just says "battery connection wrong" with ZERO hint as to which port it is.

the battery reads fine with the battery meter it reads all the cells and also the (really bad) charge master software controls and reads the cell voltages correct.

i'm kinda screwed as we have our first multi GP race this weekend and i was hoping to get some practice in before tomorrow afternoon

Try disabling the cell warning function:

-Navigate to the System Settings menu
-Enter into the menu, then locate a menu called "Bal. Connection"
-Turn the function from ON to OFF

Then try to charge again.

i've tried that.... tried factory reset. still the same. it has to be a hardware error. my other hitek X1mini charger has no problems.

I bought 2 of these chargers last year and have the same problem you're having with both of them. I have tried 12 differnt batteries on both chargers, 2 of the batteries were brand new out of the package and still would get the error. It does this funny thing were they will start charging fine but then the voltage and amps start jumping up and down like crazy and then the error.

By any chance did you find out what the problem was ?

Thanks Tim

With the voltage and amperage jumping up and down like you describe, there is definitely an issue inside of the chargers. Get them to us and we'll take a look.

We generally aren't super strict on warranty related things, I would still get the other charger to us.
