The Funter is a low wing trainer features a pusher prop that’s great for beginners. It’s stable and easy to fly, but also capable of sporty aerobatics. This plane comes with everything you need to get into the air at a cost of $129. 99. With a 56 inch wing span this is a larger than usual foamy of this size.
Planes like the Funter are natural FPV birds. They are easy to fly, can be hand launched and carry a decent amount of FPV gear. If you break them you can glue the pieces back together and get back in the sky. Here is a Gopro mount made for this bird.

This looks exactly like the Robbe/Hype Funtastic that was available in Europe just over a year ago.
I procrastinated about getting one and when I'd finally made the decision to do so I couldn't find one anywhere. For some reason it didn't really take off (excuse the pun) and is now unavailable. There are some videos on youtube and it looks to be a good all round flyer as well as a good proposition for FPV. If it/this or clone of becomes available again then I would get one for FPV use. |

The tech specs on Tower give a throw dimension for flaps. Does it have them? They only list four servos in the package.

56 inches or 65 inches in wingspan?

1650mm is 64.9 inches.
So 65 inches is right. |

8x6 prop with a kv1200 on 3 cells battery on 65" wingspan? Now that will be a very large snail. And if you have a fair bit of headwind you'll learn to fly backwards. :-)
At that wingspan, assuming the same 1200kv motor you should use 4S 2200-3000mah and at least 9x6 prop to move that large thing around. |

My Funter Just Arrived
I signed up to RCgroups just so I could post this. Took the Funter out of the box and stuck it together on the workbench to take look. I am very impressed! Very well designed and thought out. I have been doing FPV with an old Easy Star fitted with ailerons and wanted this to upgrade. It looks better than the pictures. The trim colors are quite striking. electric blue and orange. It's a lot sexier than that old beat up easy star. I am definitely not disappointed.

Got to maiden my Funter today after work. Haven't added the FPV gear yet. I have taildragger landing gear installed. Power system wattage is about 160, same as the system I have on my FPV Easy Star. Flies great "like on rails" as they say. Turns out to be plenty of power, certainly for FPV. Cruised around at a pretty good speed at a little over half throttle. The landing gear worked great. Not a floater. Should be good in the wind. Slight pitch down at higher power settings. I am real happy with it. The quality on this thing is very good like a Multiplex product.

Need help with Funter CG
I set up CG as per instruction however it just teters. It won't stay still, just either pitches back or forward. This is even with moving battery around, adding or removing weight etc.. Can someone help me with this. How have some of you guys found the CG?
UPDATE: Took it out for maiden. Did a few gliding tests with no power and it flew great. 2600 pack forward in nose was spot on. It is a good flyer. Set up flaperons instead of cutting out flaps. Happy with it! Still looking for some feedback though. No one ever replied to my earlier post. |

Funter CG
I put piece of blue masking tape on the fuse just above the wing in the CG area so I could mark it with a sharpie. I measured per the manual and marked the tape. Then I projected the mark upward on the fuse to where I could grasp it with thumb and forefinger. Holding it higher up keeps it from teetering as you describe. I also used a little piece of striping tape on each side to mark the CG because I planned on trying different batteries. This is really a low wing plane, so if you use a balancer, do it upside down.
