New Spektrum AS3000 AS3X module

Looks like Spektrum Forward Programming is finally becoming a reality after 3 years of talk.

AS3X module which integrates with the new Powersafe telemetry receivers and is programmed directly from the Airware 2.0 Radios.

A pity it doesn't support the other Telemetry receivers. It would be a fair bit more interesting if you could plug it into the sensor port of any telemetry receiver and get AS3X.

The Sensor port is different than the X-Bus port. You don't want the Vario slowing down your gyros!!!

Glad to read this is compatible with DX18 gen1 radios with proper receiver.

Ah, so your telemetry system's port confusion expands. Now you've got 4 kinds of ports instead of 3 (with 2 variations on one) before, plus a special case.

No reason it wouldn't be, the DX18G1 is an Airware 2.0 TX, just doesn't have voice.

I'm looking Forward to that
Just a little dissappointed this requires a specific type of receiver for it, don't have any of the mentioned required ones.

You won't get the connector in this one wrong.

I understand the logic behind this (no point in having AS3X and non-AS3X PowerSafe SKU's, non-Powersafe users already have the 7350 and 9350) but it really does confuse the interconnect system, which is already bad enough.

Yes but at first I thought this was a way for owners of existing systems to simply connect to their receivers and get AS3X like what the ALPHA 6 does but with just a single connection.

It's also half the cost of the AS1000.

It's all good, for a moment I got excited for it but now realize it's NOT for me.

So only with powersafe receivers? Couldn't find 9130T mentioned on product mono.

It's only part of the PowerSafe system right now.
