Looks pretty good, though I prefer the old wing shape. Not one I am going to jump on though - I got bored of the hairy hand launches on my original, and now have a Durafly Excalibur which flies more to my style and is a lot easier to launch with a 12" prop. PS - Fentonflyers, before Google grabs your thread title and indexes it forever delete the second "E" - according to HK it's an EFXTRA. |

Never understood the problems that some had launching it. Hold slightly nose up and launch wing level at about 2/3 throttle with an underarm throw. But you'll be pleased to hear the EFXTRA is even easier to launch.

Story of my life lol
I actually like the clipped wings, I loved my EFX but the roll rate was slow. If this new wing design improves the roll but keep the light wing loading of the previous version this thing will be a hands down winner. Moving away from NTM is probably great, those motors don't last long especially on 4s. Also it being faster woohoo!! The CNC spinner is absolutely great, really makes all three finishes pop. I think I'll get the red one. Or the green |

The fpv thing is what intrigues me. Not that I am good at anything fpv... Just think it would be cool to have that view.
I enjoy my EFX though I don't fly it all that much. Built mine from the kit. It seems to roll fine to me. For extreme aerobatics I have my 3d ships. Does do a wicked pop top though! |

Don't fly my EFX as much as i should.
i have better things for flat out all flight the props too small for aeros which i really enjoy with the EFX anyway but most importantly i can't replace it if i spank it. looks like this might answer those issues if it's a sensible price, but why no yellow |

I am well aware I am not the strongest hand launcher of powered models (I'm a lot more confident on the slope without the whirly thing on the front! ), but I know I am not alone in not loving this phase of EFX flight. Almost every EFX I've seen over here has been shorn of it's prop and received some repairs due to launch time "excitement"! |

I never had a problem launching the EFX, whether on TGS or APC props 5x5 or 6x5, 4s or 3s.
I give it a nice firm over hand throw on 4s at around 60% throttle on 3s about 70% throttle. It's been one of the easiest planes to fly. I think people read all the internet hysteria regarding launching it and nervously launch or hammer the throttle too soon. |

I did slide mine into the ground the other week because I tried to launch on 1/4 throttle with no wind, but as above 60% in no wind is fine.
I'm still on my original prop and i've only ever had to glue a tip back straight from hanger rash. see here for how much of a pussycat the stock set up is in low wind ( and this is without rudder and throttle control as i'm filming at the same time )
