custom transmiter case

hello! I was wondering if any of you guys ever took the guts out of a radio and made a custom case for it? I was thinking about making a fiberglass case for my eclipse 7 that was a little more stream lined, more along the lines of a royal evo. Any pics of home made transmiter cases would be great!
cheers,

here's a nice wood and aluminium case from a fellow microstar user.

mine is in a plain aluminium box that measures 5-1/2"x5"x1-1/4".

Some years back one of the guys in VARMS made a beautiful case out of tinted perspex, you could see inside! what was nice was the sides that you wrap you hands around were about a 1 1/2" radius and felt so cool.

ZAGNUT: nice home-made transmitter, I guess that will last a very long long, since its home-made, I am sure you can fixed it if its broken.

Randy: its a brilliant idea, cutting your transmitter in half. I use to have that Gold series Futaba transmitter.

This might be a little off-topic, but I guess you could use a service like this for a case... or whatever.

Has anyone tried this service yet? Or something similar?
