SAE Event - Field Closed 3/9 - 3/12
The field is closed to normal operations this coming weekend as we are hosting the SAE event (3/9 - 3/12). We'll have several hundred engineering students from around the world competing in this event (+ spectators).
If you have never attended one of these events, please come out and watch on Sat. and Sun. when the flying will take place. It's very interesting and you will see very unique designs along with the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. RJ Moderator |

We need: 4 pylon cut judges 1-2 cooks 1 announcer We could also use additional volunteers as timers, scorekeeper, assistant starters, etc. No previous experience is needed, it's very simple and straightforward. Warbird event is GO !
Warbird Event is a Go!
Despite the rain and flooding, the field is mown, the grass is green and we are ready to fly! Tell your buddies that the Thunderbirds Warbird is on and we need aircrew and ground crew! If you have something even remotely warbird like, bring it along and enjoy the comradeship of one of our longest running events. If you have any questions about the event, feel free to contact Ed Kettler who also happens to be our club safety officer. Contact information is posted on the club site. |
