HELP---100" American Eagle Glider-wing plans NEEDED

Hello,

My boyfriend is an avid flyer for some 40 years. His first plane was a 100" American Eagle that I believe Dick Sarpolus designed back in the early 70's. I have been trying to locate the plans and/or kit for that for my friends birthday (May 20),

According to Mr. Sarpolus, he designed the plane for J&J, a kit company at the time. Mr. Sarpolus said he got the wing kits, Thermic 100, from Frank Zaic who designed it and made the rest of the parts. Only 400 kits were produced 400 kits, that was it. J&J is long out of business now. However I contacted Brain at Dynamic Balsa and Hobby Supply dynamic1@crtelco.com to see if he had the plans unfortunately he only has the fuselage (sp?) and does not have the wings.

Would you happen to know where I may either find the wings or a complete kit. PLEASE I am desperately trying to find this. Thank you.

Not really, just got off the phone with small parts and just more stuff like K&S or Sig already has and they don't manufacture anything, just cut stock to length.

I need a supplier for bent or die cut sheet metal parts for control sticks, control horns, wire attachment points, wing and strut attach brackets etc. from aluminum from provided outline drawings. I will check business to business yellow pages for sheet metal fabrication.

Never heard of the American Eagle 100, but Skybench has short kits for the Ziac Thermic 100. You might email Ray Hayes about the Am. Eagle. I love the design of the Thermic and will be building one at some point. You might also post a query on the sailplanes forum.

I just checked the website and they'll be gone till 06/062005.

Plastic kits in themselves are useful references, but also, check out the links to pictures and drawings at the end of most of the aircrafts' sections.

Giant Scale Plans

Does anyone know a good site where I can get some Giant Scale Plans for stick built planes? I had heard there was a software program that could do this? Any ideas?

Here's a site with really high-quality 3-views. I'm amazed at the quality of these drawings compared to what I've seen before.
