A 3D printer would be the ultimate

Could you imagine having a 3D printer to make parts for your airplanes?

That retractable tail fork that you were thinking about buying just doesn't look quite scale. If you knew how to input the data into a 3D printer you could make your own.

If you have the time then check out this video http://www.ted.com/talks/lisa_haroun..._printing.html

She said they are available in desktop size for $300.

I think this could change everything in the future.

I ran across this link today:
http://www.the-blueprints.com/

Surprised it doesn't appear in a search of this thread. The site contains 3-view images and vector drawings. So......here you go.

Maybe I missed it in this thread, but I am looking for a list of the many different kit producers out there. I stumble across some really cool small websites here and there, but when I am searching for models I have a real hard time finding something I want.

What other sites are out there Like Mountain Models and Manzano Lazer works?

Specifically I am currently looking to satisfy an urge for a 30-45 inch BF 109 F or G model in balsa. Thanks guys

Scale Models International magazine

I've been searching for an index of the contents of this magazine and stumbled on this website:

http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/mags/mag...l-magazine.htm

At the bottom of that page are two links to the contents listings for the magazine throughout the years, however the links are no longer working. Does anyone happen to have that database saved somewhere?

Thanks,
Steve

The internet archive has the site backed up over 200 times since 1999. Perhaps...

For those of us who Love Luftwaffe aircraft it can sometimes be difficult to find the historically accurate markings to match to our planes, let alone what they mean. On my search I found a very informative web page with large printable images. Figured I would share with you all. Enjoy and hope I helped someone out.

Speed Controller for 4 motors

Last week I received this link to a 20A x 4 channel ESC from Joe, who you might know as Cracksmeup on RCG. He got me thinking and I went looking for 50gm low Kv motors. In the UK, I found these motors. They claim 200 watts, 935 Kv and they come with 10" x 4.5" props for 12.95 each.

Now my point is that, although this setup is actually designed for quad coptors, it should give something in excess of 500 watts of power on 11.1 volts and weigh very little. At least, that's what they claim.

I think it should be possible to build a large balsa or Depron 4 engine model and an all-up weight of not much more than 5lbs. My own temptation is a DH-91 Albatross with an 8ft (2400mm) ws. Those high aspect ratio wings, with a glider type of airfoil should give us a very gentle scale flyer. I've started some drawings with balsa in mind.

Any hints or links would be very much appreciated.

Nick

PS Looks as if I've put this on the wrong thread - sorry! Shall I take it off?

[I didn't know this existed,. Could a person Y all the receiver wires to 1 wire attached to the reciever? If so, that seems like a good solution for a guillows b-17?
