Bullet Proof Plane designs?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

I have had a crazy idea and...

I would like to make a plane, nice and simple and cheap hopefully out of foam board that can survive a few rounds from a shotgun.

I already know that the foam board can take the hit from a shotgun, but the electrics have no protection what so ever.

How can I protect them ? whats the best material to use? and how much weight can I add and still have it fly?

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have a couple of electric motors, various batteries 3s and 4s, a couple of 6s YEP escs, a few receivers and lots of 9g servos.

No plane is going to be bullet proof, but you maybe able to make it resistant to light weight bird shot at a reasonable range. I think your best bet would be aluminum sheeting or tube around the electrical components.

You may also want to consider using a paintball gun, as that would be a safer more approachable goal. Think about what a shot pellet going into a lipo battery is going to do. You need to be prepared to put out a lipo fire as well as a grass or brush fire resulting from the crash.

A search on YouTube will show you some videos of people doing similar things.
