PLANS, not side views, although there are some interesting ones.

L-19, O-1, Cessna 170, Bird Dog Plans & Docs

t1mux (Tim) and thatovalguy (Howard) have collaborated on a project that gives you full-size plans and extremely high resolution color graphic skins to build 4 different color schemes of the L-19 and O-1 versions of the Bird Dog using FFF Blucore or Depron.

As scaled, the plans will give you a 36 inch / 915 mm. wingspan. Left click each individual example of the 4 profiles and then click the enlargement icon for a high resolution .jpg file (3696 x 2854 pixels) before downloading each plan. Your full-size printout will be about 30" x 40". Use MS Paint (or your personal favorite) to tile it out for your printer size sheets.

Just click here for the free plans post..

thatovalguy's thread #9 with the building discussion is here. (Post #102)

Additional documentation, historical info, photos and Bird Dog links are here.

Cheers! Tom

(The wing mounted armament in Photo #2 is 4 x 2.75" Willy Pete rockets!)

WaterDog has posted two threads with links to pdf instructions and tiled plans! One is for his amazing ST, the other is for it's "little brother," the STC.

The ST will make a fantastic AP ship, while the STC could easily serve as a "trainer" version. Both could also easily be built as "fun-flyers," if you aren't interested in AP. Both designs use the *same* building method, so if you want to experiment with the STC, you'll be able to use what you learn from building and flying it, to follow up with the larger ST. How's that for a confidence builder?

Of course, these are designed for FFF or depron.

The threads:

WaterDog's ST

WaterDog's STC

Don't know if you are interested in building either one? Both threads contain several videos that will help you decide!

Here' the real post!

I thought this was supposed to be for free plans?? Come on guys, Kick!

1500+ free plans in to different formats!

It's a bittorrent download. That way, the more people that are downloading it, the faster it goes!

If you don't know what bittorent is, then I recomment using the original client. It's a very simple interface.

Install Bittorent client, then click on the download link in Internet Explorer as usual. Select "open", then it will ask you where you want to save the completed ZIP file. You can start and stop the download if you need to.

Here's the all 1500+ plans, in one ZIP. Over 600Mb worth of plans!
