Turns out my plane is 1/9th scale after completing numerous measurments.I have gone with your advice and made the templates for the wings using a flat bottom,my only concern is from what i have researched it clearly states flat bottom airfoils are rarely used in rc models. My second concern regarding this configuration is am i still able to pull hard and fast maneuveres without loss of control. Please take into consideration that this will obviouslly depend on my ability to do do so after numerous flights and missapps.I have the rudder assembly plug completed along with the vertical stabalizer,i went for a ball and socket joint on the rudder i will post pictures after christmas.

Look at the airfoil root chord on this one:

Thanks for that skunkwork and Kevin i will keep the current airfoil with the flat bottom and follow Kevins advice on rounding the LE top and bottom.

Hi post 60 you all say this design is ok providing i round the top and bottom but im confused other people are saying flat bottom airfoil is an absolute pain to tune and can take hours to set up,what am i missing.I dont have the know how to design my own i have made one set of wings and bined them already. The fuse isnt a problem but i cant get these wings to look right without templates.?Is it worth buying some 1/8th wings from skymaster.

DKAVM, I`m sure you can contruct your own airfoil based on what you find around the internet, Read the info on these two links as well, before choosing an airfoil, and have in mind how you want to fly your plane when finished.

Thanks guys flat bottom it is.One of those threads you gave me says flat bottom is good for lift but as the angle of attack gets steaper so does the drag and the plane stalls, does that apply to all flat bottom wings.
