I think the new FW 90mm F-18 or F-22 are by far better options

Thanks J but not really keen on either...other one on my list is the 104 Starfighter but it could be a problem on the short field.

Tube...been looking at your problems with the 90mm F16 on grass...really put me off ....so much so I'm more than leaning in the 90mm F4 Phantom direction.
Did the F16 ever get any better off grass when it was dry ????

F-4's are a 'better' all round jet than an F-16 anyway (any brand etc). So I would pick that hands down.
Then the Freewing F-4 landing gear is suited to grass also.

Or you could get a Hobbyking Avios Mig-17......
F-4 and Mig-17 probably a close call in grand total outcomes in all manners.
Mig-17 a lot cheaper..... and sort of has more presence too.

Thanks Pete...I think you are 100% on the suitability of the F4 for my "strip" so that is the way I'll go. I have a 90mm Mig 15 that gets aired two or three times a year but it doesn't get the juices going like the SU 35. I'm hoping the F4 will !!!!!

Freewing have a good price on the P&P version so I'll get an order off when the wife is out !!

Yep....

Go to HobbyParadise
They are reliable and prompt. I have bought a lot of aircraft from them with zero problem ever.
One I ordered and it arrived on the third day!! That didn't even seem POSSIBLE! It must have gone out the door IMMEDIATELY after I clicked to pay! LOL
More often the 5th day or so. (EMS always)

Loch the 90mm F16 is a sweet scale jet as Peter says there are way better 90mms its heavy and really needs 8s set up but even then better planes
out there! My smaller Eflite 70mm F16 is so superior to the FW...
