I bought an Ebay FPV set up for my Convergence. It did not come with the channel chart for the monitor. I just printed out chart and now the system works. Seems to work ok. So now I need to lengthen the wires and install. I've never flown FPV so I'm going to start out flying FPV only in hover mode, mostly still looking at the plane.

Thinking about it. I really like the stock scheme, but there are some ideas floating about.
Styles of: F-15 F-16 Edwards Test bird in aluminum with day glow orange. Or white and orange. The red, white and blue looks cool too. Futuristic scheme like a Star Wars Snow Speeder. Which do you like? |

Zipper
Hitec Zipper $34.99 shipped from Tower. They have it for $49.99 plus free shipping add $15.00 off coupon code and then you have a neat little plane. Waiting on batteries. I did a quick paint job on it this evening.

Sea Fury
I finally got to repairing the Hawker Sea Fury that I bought from the Ray Brock collection a few years back. It is very old and had been in quite a serious crash that did some significant damage at the rear end of the fuselage and horizontal stab. Also was suffering from some general neglect. It had obviously been put aside a long time ago.
Anyway, I repaired the damaged bits, refitted her with an OS55, tore out the mechanical bellcrank aileron stuff and fitted separate aileron servos into the wing, redid all the pneumatics for the retracts, etc. A lot of guesswork and 'make it up as you go' was involved so the first flight might be entertaining for the spectators Anyway, she is now ready to be ground run once I can find time to get back to the field. |
