Jets & Lasagna...champion diet
T-CAT's Avatar
It was announced on MotionRC's forum. It's a twin 80, and supposedly will accept 90mm EDF': as well from what I understand.

Motion wants to coordinate the development efforts....

...not only of Freewing, Flightline and Dynam, but FMS / Horizon as well (Motion sells them all, but is involved in the development of some)

- would be beneficial if the big players would not do the same models "mysteriously", as in the recent past - for the customers AND the companies I guess

well if you read the threads, even within the A-10 ranks, people could not decide what size they wanted. FMS probably saw the larger Free wing and knew there was still a market for a smaller cheaper A-10....which there certainly is.

The Freewing will probably be $500+ and the FMS maybe $379 ??. That is 2 very different markets.

I hope you're right - keeping in mind that there is already a - Freewing - 64mm A-10... Still, I would think that instead of an A-10 in three sizes, there would be more models sold if there was something new
I, for my part, would much prefer to see another model than having every size of A-10

and: the "size diversity" argument doesn't cut in case of the Yak-130 (all 70mm) and Tigercat (very small size difference)

Twin 6S 70mm fans fly our LX A10 with 60" span with excellent performance. Even carrying a lot of ordnance doesn't bother it.
Twin 90mm would have to be 2m span and that would be awesome!
FW was wrong to build such a small A10 IMHO. The FMS gear looks good so far.

I think there is certainly a market for 3 sized A-10s. The 64 is nice and small enough to fit in any car without disassembly. The 70mm will fit in my SUV assembled and will be the right size for those that want something bigger and it should be right around the $300-$350 price point if they want to sell a bunch. Then I'm sure the 80-90mm Hog will be priced much like the F-14 but will have all the bells and whistles.

It looks like it may be the crappy eps foam

could be, but might just be the prototype made from EPS. It would make it very light which is good for twins.

hard to believe anything would be EPS these days though...except the UMX stuff. we will see.

+1. Im planning twin 90s for my 20lb 75 inch CGRC A-10. People often overpower twins in general, but especially A-10s. Lighter is better.

70mm is more than enough for this size A-10.
